Welcome to Honu'ea International Hostel Kauai.

We are under new management.



Located on the East Shore of Kauai, in Kapa'a, just a short 15min drive north of the Lihue Airport.  Our hostel resides in the heart of Kapa'a Town, just across the street from Kapa'a Beach Park. We are centrally located on the island for added convenience to all of the wonderful things Kaua'i has to offer.

Kaua'i is called "The Garden Island" for it's lush tropical flowers that grow throughout the island's landscape.  Kaua'i is considered, by many, to be the most beautiful of the island chain.

Take a stroll, jog or bike down the 4.5 mile Coconut Coast Hike and Bike Path that stretches from Wailua Town past Kealia Beach Point with amazing surf and spectacular views!  Or, do some shopping at some of the cutest locally owned shops on Kaua'i.  Dine in amazing restaurants with local flare. Rent a car and travel the island in style. Visit Waimea Canyon or Na Pali Coast for amazing hiking and picturesque views only found on Kaua'i. Relax on the many beaches or take a surf lesson. Come and enjoy the magical splendor that is, Kaua'i.

Return from your day of wonder, to a safe, comfortable, inviting atmosphere of new friends and share your experiences together! Make yourself some dinner in our newly equipt kitchen and relax in our newly decorated common areas.


We have three dorm rooms with ten beds each, three semi-private rooms, and two deluxe private rooms:

  • Women Only - $25 night*
  • Men Only - $25 night*
  • Co-Ed/Mixed - $25 night*
  • Women Only Private Room - $50 single/$60 double occupancy*
  • Men Only Private Room - $50 single/$60 double occupancy*
  • Co-Ed/Mixed Private Room - $50 single/$60 double occupancy*
  • Deluxe Private Room - $60 single/$70 double occupancy*

All dorms have a private room and a shared bath. The two deluxe rooms are in the main house, share a bathroom and do not have restrictions on common room hours. Please, no food or drink in ANY room. We have a common area available to all guests, including kitchen facilities, cable TV and includes WiFi, registered guests are welcome to use between the hours of 8am-10pm. Please, no one other than registered guests are allowed on the property at any time. Check in begins at 1pm and check out is by 11am. Please, be courteous to all guests and observe quiet hours between 10pm-8am.
